Congratulations to Sharon Eshlaman!! You are the lucky winner of a box of chocolates from Chocolations. Please e-mail me your e-mail address so we can send them out to you.
I finally finished the Teddy Bear Quilt. The front and back look great, and smooth. I used the safety pin method for basting and haven’t done that before.
I’m really excited with how this baby quilt came out. It was a kit from http://www.keepsakequilting.com that was given to me to make for my grandson. I think it will look great in his room. One Christmas present finished!!
More this week about the incredible progress of the quilting studio, and some great fabrics I just received from some sales, which I can’t wait to tell you about!!
I’ve made a lot of progress on two of the three quilts I’ve been working on. Everything is taking more time than I expected, because I have a fracture in my left sacrum. Which means, sitting, standing and walking for too long a period of time means a lot of pain in my lower back and tailbone.
But the big bummer, is that I had to cancel our plans to attend the International Quilt Festival 😦 I was looking forward to this for many months, and was really excited because I’ve never been before. I was so organized about all the workshops I signed up to take.
So I’ve finished 90 squares for the Show Off Quilt, in king size. Yup, I make alot of king size quilts, for us, and make baby, twin, full size, queen size mainly for clients. I’ve squared of 30 squares so far.
And, my teddy bear quilt is almost finished. Just the binding left to go. Next week I’ll be starting two new projects, and am really excited to share them. And of course, please leave a comment in the comments box, telling me what your favorite quilting magazines are, or if you don’t read them, tell me what your favorite part of the quilting process is. Monday, October 28 is National Chocolate Day, and in conjunction with Chocolations, http://www.chocolations.com, we will be giving away a box of yummy bon bons, truffles and bark. On Tuesday, we will announce the winner. Good luck!! And, don’t forget to stop by Green Fairy Quilts, http://www.greenfairyquilts.com. They are having an amazing sale on jelly rolls.

Well, we all know how much quilters love fabrics. But I’ve noticed something else quilters love about as much. Chocolate!! And, Monday October 28, is National Chocolate Day. So my very good friend, Maria, who is a real Chocolatier from Chocolations,http://www.chocolations.com/ in Mamaroneck, New York, and I are offering another little give-a-way. A lovely assortment of truffles, chocolate bark and bon-bons.
Please leave a comment in my comment box letting me know which quilting magazines are your favorites, or telling me what you like most about quilting. This give-a-way can only be done in the U.S. because the prize is edible and perishable. Sorry. I can’t change the rules on this. The winner will be announced on the morning of Tuesday, October 29.
